High North Dialogue 2022

High North Dialogue is an annual conference bringing together major stakeholders concerned with Arctic development. The purpose of the event is to encourage and facilitate dialogue between stakeholders to promote sustainable development in the Arctic, as well as information sharing and discussion of best practices.

WG meeting

On February 4, 2022, the Working Groups Chairmen meeting of The Northern Forum was held. The meeting was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of the Northern Forum`s Regional Coordinators Committee, Advisor on Arctic Cooperation to the Head of the Regional Council of Lapland Arja Haikara. Executive Director of the Northern Forum Vladimir Vasiliev acted as moderator.

Alexandra Ponomareva, Specialist of the Northern Forum, Vice-Chair of the Northern Youth Forum, has been approved as a member of the Board of Directors of the Arctic Youth Network (AYN).

On December 9-10, 2021 Kamchatka krai hosted the Northern Forum’s Regional Coordinators Committee (RCC) meeting. Regional coordinators made a review of questions related to the Northern Youth Forum (NYF). They have approved the new edition of the Northern Youth Forum’s Regulations. The Regulations defines main goal, objectives and areas of activities of the Northern Youth Forum. It also defines the structure.
