On June 19 in Khanty-Mansiysk within the framework of the XV International IT-Forum with BRICS and SCO Participation, the first introductory meeting of the International Expert Group of The Northern Forum on regional IT agenda was held. The meeeting was attended by experts from 4 countries: Russia, China, India and Iceland.



The Evenki national holiday “Bakaldyn” is being held in Yakutsk in the Kenkeme district.



On the initiative of the Governor of Uvurkhangai aimag of Mongolia, Mr. I. Dorjsuren, an online meeting was held on June 7 between the Government of Uvurkhangai aimag and the Government of Mongolia. From May 24 to 25, Gao Fei, a graduate student of the School of Law, the Ocean University of China, and Wang Ran, a master's student of the School of International Relations and Public Administration, the Ocean University of China, were invited to participate in the conference “Youth Arctic: Science for the Future.”



Natalia Komarova, Chair of The Northern Forum, is resigning as Governor of Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.



On May 25 in Khanty-Mansiysk, as part of the scientific and practical conference “Youth Arctic: Science for the Future”, the Northern Youth Forum roundtable “The Arctic and Youth: What should the youth movement in the Arctic be like?” was held.



On May 24-25, 2024 in Khanty-Mansiysk for the first time the scientific and practical conference “Youth Arctic: Science for the Future” was held.



On May 19, the first business and scientific forum "Northern Forum - China: cooperation in innovative technologies for the protection and development of the arctic" was held in Harbin, at the site of XY Group. 



On April 23 in Khanty-Mansiysk during the V All-Russian Forum of National Unity under the auspices of the Northern Forum an international teleconference “Traditional Knowledge: Acquisition, Transmission and Protection” was held, during which the participants exchanged practices of preserving the culture and life of indigenous peoples.



The United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues (UNPFII) is holding its 23rd session in New York from April 15 to 26. The Forum is attended by representatives of UN agencies and bodies, international organizations, indigenous peoples, as well as governmental structures of national states.



The Northern Forum is a platform for international, interregional cooperation, exchange of experience, knowledge in all spheres of socio-economic development of the regions and creates various forms and mechanisms, tools for joint work, organizes events of different orientation and different levels, supports project activities.
