On April 28, the Final of the annual international competition "Teenage Climate Ambassador of the Northern Forum" was held among students of schools-members of Schools Association of the Northern Forum
Maria Krivtsova, coordinator of educational programs of the Northern Forum was the moderator of the Final.
Welcoming words and addresses to the finalists were said by Vladimir Vasilev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, Angelica Gavrilieva, Head of Schools Association of the Northern Forum and Arseny Kirgizov-Barsky, Chairman of the Jury, Assistant to the Chairman of the BRICS Youth Energy Agency.
Five finalists from schools of Yakutia and Mongolia made presentations on the topic of climate change.
The jury of the competition included honorary experts from various organizations:

- Natalia Tyukavkina – Head of the Sustainable Development Department, JSCB "Almazergienbank", Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
- Alexey Tsykarev – Program Director of the All-Russian Competitive Educational Program "Indigenous Peoples of Russia. School of Public Diplomacy", Chairman of the Karelian Public Organization "Center for Support of Indigenous Peoples and Public Diplomacy "Young Karelia", UN Expert in 2013-2022, Republic of Karelia
Aurika Popova, student of the 8th grade of the Arctic School of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), with the report "Possible consequences of permafrost melting" was elected the winner of the competition. Congratulations to Aurika on the honorary title of Teenage Climate Ambassador of the Northern Forum! As a prize, Aurika will receive a paid trip and participation in one of the planned events of the Northern Forum in 2025. Also, as an ambassador, Aurika will be involved in the ongoing work of the international organization of the northern regions "Northern Forum" this year.
A special nomination of JSCB "Almazergienbank" was awarded to Maxim Kopeev, student of the 8th grade of the City Classical Gymnasium No 8, Yakutsk. The topic of his report was "What are the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement?". Congratulations to Maxim!
Each participant will also be presented with souvenirs prepared by the organizers.
