On August 8, 2023 in Krasnoyarsk, Daryana Maksimova, Deputy Executive Director of the Northern Forum, met with Denis Gergilev, a member of the Northern Forum Working Group on Education and Science, Deputy Minister of Education of the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
During the meeting, the possibilities of developing the project activities of the working group, cooperation with the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the field of scientific research, including within the framework of the Russian-Asian Consortium for Arctic Research (RACAR), were discussed. In general, the conversation was built on the possibilities of interaction between the Northern Forum and the Ministry of Education of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, points of contact appeared - colleagues noted the emerging need to study the history and current state of the quality of life of the population and the resilience of the regions of the North and the Arctic, including indigenous peoples.
On August 8, 2023 Daryana Maksimova also met with Anton Narchuganov, head of the Agency for the Development of the Northern Territories and Support of Indigenous Minorities of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, with whom the Northern Forum Secretariat is constantly in interaction on organizational matters in the region.
Daryana Maksimova handed over a letter of thanks for the contribution to the development of the Northern Forum to Vyacheslav Amosov, Head of the Department for the Development of the Northern Territories of the Agency of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The letter of thanks was signed during the XV General Assembly of the Northern Forum, which was held in Khanty-Mansiysk on July 7-8, 2023.
Anton Narchuganov and Daryana Maksimova discussed the development of cooperation between the Northern Forum and the Krasnoyarsk Territory: project activities, planning Northern Forum events at the initiative of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, research activities, participation of the Krasnoyarsk Territory in the working groups of the Northern Forum.
The meeting touched upon the development of territories with the participation of the local population of the indigenous peoples of the North. We discussed the possibilities of improving the quality of life of the population of the northern territories, which is the mission of the Northern Forum.
Daryana Maksimova is on a working visit to Krasnoyarsk to participate in the II North Indigenous Youth Forum "Siberian Argish" (August 8-14, 2023).
