Today, on 27 January, a productive meeting was held with specialists of the Marine Research Centre of the Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov Anita Dhar and Alexey Skorina.
"We are very grateful to the Centre for valuable support and new proposals for cooperation. It is necessary to unite, strengthening the potential of each organisation and this is especially important for the Northern Forum, which has a small secretariat. Building effective partnerships allows solving many tasks demanded by regional governments. In this case, the Centre can provide substantial assistance in preparing personnel in maritime disciplines and conducting research for the needs of the regions," shared Vladimir Vasiliev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum.
Mutual support for events has been agreed. In October, the Northern Forum and the Russian-Asian Consortium for Arctic Research will take part in the conference ‘Marine Research and Education’, and the Centre will delegate its representatives to our events. We also hope for joint project activities. There is a lot of work to be done, but we are also looking forward to this new partnership!
