On May 9, 2017, Executive Director of the Northern Forum Mikhail Pogodaev and Director of the Institute of the North Nils Andreassen participated in the International Arctic Assembly, which was held at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.
The Assembly took a form of the plenary panel discussions with the participation of various experts. There were 4 sessions on the following topics:
Session A “Facilitating collaboration in Arctic science: the role of the interagency Arctic research policy committee”
Session В “Fostering knowledge co-production; best practices for co-management”
Session С “Arctic infrastructure – planning, development, and risk mitigation”
Session D “The Arctic – a global perspective”
