On the initiative of the Governor of Uvurkhangai aimag of Mongolia, Mr. I. Dorjsuren, an online meeting was held on June 7 between the Government of Uvurkhangai aimag and the Government of Mongolia. Dorjsuren, an online meeting between the Government of Uvurkhangai aimag of Mongolia and the Northern Forum Secretariat was held on June 7. Joint plans were discussed at the meeting.
The Governor thanked the Secretariat for its active support of the aimag and involvement of Mongolian representatives in The Northern Forum events.
In case the Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum will be held between July 10 and 20, Mr. I. Dorjsuren would be ready to come for participation and meetings with the regional government.
In September the aimag is scheduled to hold elections of the Governor, nevertheless the Government will consider participation of the aimag representatives in The Northern Forum events, both at the Eastern Economic Forum and the Northern Sustainable Development Forum.
It was decided to continue active joint work, including taking into account the possibility of the aimag's membership in The Northern Forum. The updated package of documents has been submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia for approval. Let us hope that all issues will be considered positively.
