"Kochevie - 2015" (Nomadic festival)
Celebration of the Indigenous Peoples of Yakutia
Yakutsk hosts a national ritual celebration of Indigenous Peoples of Yakutia "Kochevie - 2015" on August 9, dedicated to the International Day of Indigenous People. Events dedicated to the Indigenous peoples of the world, the wealth of traditions and identity of indigenous peoples and their special contribution to the world culture. This celebration opens a whole series of thematic evenings, open days, festivals and competitions in the regions and cities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
THE HOLIDAY PROGRAM
11:30 am - Ethnic ceremony and meeting guests;
12:00 pm- Opening ceremony of the festival "Friendship of Peoples";
12:30 pm - Festive concert program "The Rays of the Sun - the seven Indigenous peoples of Yakutia";
- Fashion show of national costumes;
- Games of the North "Games of the ancestors";
03:00 pm - Children's beauty contest "Beauty of the North" Association of Indigenous Peoples (2 categories: up to 7 years; up to 12 years);
05.00 pm - Competition of circular dances of the peoples of the North "heedje".
