Meetings of Ambassador A.V. Vasilyev in Yakutsk
Today, Ambassador Anton Vasilyev held productive meetings with the NEFU Institute of Medicine and the Mammoth Museum. Both sessions were highly motivating and filled with practical, actionable ideas for developing international cooperation with Asian countries.
For instance, the discussions touched upon Arctic medicine, including traditional medicine, which holds great potential when local knowledge is skillfully and comprehensively integrated with modern medical practices.
In turn, paleontologists can play a vital role in bringing the global community together to study the mysteries of our planet. This includes researching new bacteria, climate change, wildlife adaptation, genetics, and much more. Ultimately, any modern research initiative has the potential to become interdisciplinary!
International Progress with RACAR Partners
An equally significant milestone today was a series of videoconference negotiations with foreign partners of RACAR:
- Professor Guo Peiqing of the Ocean University of China (OUC)
- Professor Priti D. Das of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), India
As a reminder, OUC is a co-founder of the consortium, while JNU is currently finalizing steps to join RACAR in the very near future.
We are fully immersed in preparing joint initiatives and will share more details soon. The implementation of these scheduled projects is set to begin next year, in 2027.
