The Northern Forum strengthens ties with the USA: Peter Clark's visit and plans to publish a book about ALSIB

On March 18, the Secretariat of The Northern Forum was visited by Peter Clark, an American of Yakut descent, and his wife Katerina. The meeting focused on promising projects aimed at strengthening ties between the USA and Russia.

Peter Clark has nearly completed the English translation of Ivan Negenblya's book on the history of the ALSIB (Alaska–Siberia) air route, through which American aircraft were ferried to the Soviet-German front during World War II. The Northern Forum will soon begin exploring opportunities for publishing the book in the United States.

Additionally, Peter Clark's acquaintances in the USA have initiated an online meeting on the topic "USA – Russia: Past, Present and Future Prospects," which may take place in the near future. The Executive Director of The Northern Forum gladly accepted the invitation.

"We are moving in the same direction, being at the initial stage of creating The Northern Forum's Pacific Partnership, and it is extremely important for us to expand our network of contacts on the other side of the ocean. Peter has many ideas, and we will communicate more often to find and implement projects that connect the two countries," the Secretariat noted.
