On March 17, a working meeting took place between the Director of The Northern Forum, Vladimir Nikolaevich Vasiliev, and the leadership of the Anabarsky National (Dolgan-Evenki) District (Ulus). The meeting was attended by Acting Head of the District Olga Fedorovna Timofeeva-Tereshkina and Yakov Semenovich Sivtsev, Director of the Directorate of Bioresources, Protected Areas and Natural Parks.
The parties discussed ecotourism development in the district and outlined specific steps for joint work in this area. The Directorate's leadership expressed readiness to support initiatives for environmental education and biodiversity conservation.
Notably, on February 18 this year, the Anabarsky District was declared a model territory of The Northern Forum. The decision was based on the district's high potential in traditional industries, infrastructure development, tourism, and fiber optic internet access. The district had previously been featured at the Forum's sessions in Moscow, where consultations on promising projects were held.
