Irina Onufrenya, Head of the Wildlife Conservation Program at the "Nature and People" Foundation, highlighted the challenges surrounding the coordinated management of domestic reindeer husbandry and wild reindeer populations, as well as the mitigation of damage caused by predators, primarily wolves. While the Foundation carries out an extensive volume of work tracking the migrations of reindeer and wolves across various regions, there is a clear need to unite the efforts of all stakeholders and launch an interregional Northern Forum project.

Nadezhda Filippova, Head of the Northern Forum Working Group on Transport and Logistics and Professor at MADI (Moscow Automobile and Road Construction State Technical University) and NEFU, presented the new "Zvezda" amphibious all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). These vehicles performed exceptionally well during the "Safe Arctic" drills and an expedition-lecture series from Salekhard to Yakutsk, completing the routes without a single breakdown. The manufacturing plant in Nizhny Novgorod is capable of producing vehicles tailored to any operational needs and objectives, including mobile medical complexes, search and rescue operations, and cargo transportation.
Maria Krivtsova, Coordinator of Educational Programs at the Northern Forum, shared information regarding the activities of the Northern Forum Schools Association (NFSA). By May, its membership had grown to include 20 schools from the Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs, Kamchatka and Krasnoyarsk Krais, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and the Övörkhangai Aimag of Mongolia. During the Association's meeting on May 7, school principals and coordinators confirmed the tangible practical benefits of membership, while also identifying key areas for growth, which include: • Expansion of membership; • Demand for in-person events; • Funding; • Projects for the professional development of teachers; • Organization of English language courses; • Development of a publicly accessible pedagogical database.
The Schools Association demonstrates excellent collaborative work among its members, and active support from regional coordinators is required to attract new schools and financial resources.
