The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to the Far Eastern Federal District carries out a tremendous amount of work to develop and strengthen relations with many Asian countries. The Mission maintains the closest ties with diplomatic missions located in Vladivostok and Khabarovsk and actively interacts with Far Eastern regions, many of which are members of the Northern Forum.
While the Permanent Mission has always been highly responsive to the Northern Forum's requests and consistently provides comprehensive assistance, the time has come to discuss these multifaceted activities in greater detail and to operate in a systematic and coordinated manner.
During a meeting with Kim Borisov, Permanent Representative of Yakutia to the Far Eastern Federal District, and his Deputy, Valery Protopopov, it was agreed that the Mission will assume the primary coordinating role in joint efforts with the Federation of Northern Economy of the Republic of Korea and in preparing for the Northern Economic Forum in Seoul this autumn. Furthermore, they will provide assistance in attracting Chinese regions to join the Northern Forum. Undoubtedly, the Permanent Mission will also play a significant role in launching the Northern Forum's Pacific Platform, the potential creation of which we will discuss in Magadan next week.
