March 31, 2026, Vladimir Nikolaevich Vasiliev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, held an online meeting with Tatiana Domilovskaya, Managing Partner of Knowlex International from Vancouver, Canada, who is a business partner of the Northern Forum. During the talks, the parties discussed the possibility of organizing a series of online seminars with the participation of experts from Canada, the United States, and Russia, with the subsequent involvement of colleagues from Asian countries.

As a result of extensive consultations, it was noted that tensions between Canada and the United States are escalating due to tariff wars and other factors, while long-standing issues also persist in the area of transport logistics between British Columbia and Alaska. Accordingly, it was decided to develop the seminar initiative in stages: first, to hold a dialogue with Canadian experts; next, with the participation of specialists from the United States and Russia; and only later, once clear prospects for productive engagement emerge, to organize joint events.

In parallel, work continues on organizing an online session between the United States and Russia involving Peter Clark, an American with ties to Yakutia. Progress in this direction has been more effective: the initial group of speakers has already been identified. The key task at this stage is to select the right topics in order to gradually expand the circle of interested participants.

In addition, the Northern Forum plans to organize a strategic session of regional coordinators for the development of Pacific Partnership, which will take place in Magadan.
