"ZVEZDA" All-Terrain Vehicles Presented in Yamal: Arctic-Tested Technology at Reindeer Herder’s Day

In Salekhard, as part of the Reindeer Herder’s Day celebration, a presentation was held for new Russian amphibious all-terrain vehicles manufactured by ZVEZDA LLC. The event took place with the participation of the Northern Forum, an international organization uniting northern regions. It is worth noting that the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is one of the key member regions of the Northern Forum, underscoring the significance of hosting such presentations on its territory.

The vehicles, whose production began last fall in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, were specially designed for operation in the extreme conditions of the Far North. As noted by event participants, the equipment is adapted to operate in ultra-low temperatures down to -60 degrees. Thanks to ultra-low pressure tires, the all-terrain vehicles can effectively traverse deep snow, swampy terrain, and overcome water obstacles, while the vehicle's design minimizes impact on the fragile tundra soil.

The lineup of presented vehicles includes two main modifications:

**The flagship model – an Arctic bus (model T24 8×8).**
An all-wheel-drive vehicle with an 8×8 wheel configuration. Powered by a YaMZ-534 diesel engine producing up to 190 kW (255 hp). The vehicle's dimensions are 9100×2950×3700 mm. The model is designed to carry 15 passengers (excluding the driver) and features high payload capacity: up to 4000 kg on solid surfaces and up to 1500 kg afloat. The maximum speed on the highway reaches 80 km/h, and 2 km/h on water. Ground clearance is adjustable in the range of 630–700 mm depending on tire pressure. The fuel tank capacity is 700 liters.

**The compact rapid response all-terrain vehicle (model T23 6×6).**
A model with a 6×6 wheel configuration and dimensions of 7500×2950×3700 mm. Capacity – 16 passenger seats. The vehicle is equipped with the same YaMZ-534 engine. Maximum speed on solid ground is up to 90 km/h. A water-jet propulsion system provides a speed of up to 7 km/h on water. The gross vehicle weight is 9500 kg, with a payload capacity of 1500 kg afloat. Ground clearance is at least 650 mm.

Both models confirmed their readiness to operate in the most challenging landscape and climatic conditions of the Arctic, receiving high praise from experienced users of the tundra.
