Welcome to the COP29 Arctic Pavilion!

On November 11-22, the Northern Forum is hosting the first-of-its-kind Arctic Pavilion at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan. The general partner of the Arctic Pavilion is the Melnichenko Foundation, the youth partner is the BRICS Youth Energy Agency. More info: https://arcticpavilion-cop.org

COP29 Arctic Pavilion is a new universal platform within the UNFCCC COPs for the cooperation, partnerships, outreach and knowledge sharing on climate and sustainable development in the Arctic, with a particular focus on the indigenous communities and youth. This platform is open to everyone living in, connected to or interested in the Arctic. Find us in the Blue Zone, Pavilion D17. In case of questions, please reach out to

There are several opportunities of engaging in the COP29 Arctic Pavilion:

  • Apply to host a side-event (fill in the form https://arcticpavilion-cop.org);
  • Express your interest in partnering with and supporting the COP29 Arctic Pavilion;
  • Come visit us at the Pavilion throughout the 2-weeks of intensive programming (save the events calendar in advance);
  • Watch insightful expert sessions at the COP29 Arctic Pavilion LIVE on the Arctic Pavilion’s website and social media.

The Northern Forum believes that the Arctic is a region of immense opportunities and severe challenges. If the Arctic climate change persists at the expected rates, it will affect the world’s ecosystems, economies, human health and well-being, international stability, as well as the progress in achieving the SDGs at global scale.

Tackling the effects of climate change in the region requires close coordination, collaboration and partnership with relevant global governance efforts. With the main regional cooperation largely frozen, the COP29 Arctic Pavilion can become a leading annual meeting place of the key stakeholders.

Join us to make the Arctic cooperation LIVE at COP29!
