The Northern Forum Working Group on Transport and Logistics (chaired by Nadezhda Filippova), together with ZVEZDA LLC (lead developer Alexander Blokhin), is implementing the Mobile Expeditionary Northern Arctic Lecture Series named after Vladimir Alexandrovich Rusanov — a Russian Arctic explorer of the early 20th century (PESAL). The project is being carried out with the support of the Northern Forum, the Russian Geographical Society, and the Association of Polar Explorers.

The project has now launched in Yamal with the expedition "ZVEZDA. Northern Fleet." The aim of the expedition is to hold educational meetings with schoolchildren as part of the PESAL project. Participants will learn about the history of Arctic exploration, modern expeditions, and engineering and northern professions.
The expedition is led by Andrei Alexandrovich Korkh, a member of the Russian Geographical Society and ASPOL. The expedition team is currently in Yamal. Travelling on ZVEZDA all-terrain vehicles, the expedition will pass through three Northern Forum regions: Yamal, Taimyr, and Yakutia.
