The XIV International Forum Arctic: Today and the Future in honor of Artur Chilingarov has started its work. Today, representatives of the Northern Forum and the Russian-Asian Consortium for Arctic Research took part in discussions on international cooperation.
Vladimir Vasiliev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, Goodwill Ambassador Paul Fuhs, along with Vladislav Maslennikov, Senior Arctic Official of Russia to the Arctic Council and Director of the Department of European Affairs at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Daniel Castillos Gomez, Ambassador of Uruguay to Russia, Ambassador of Singapore to Russia Mark Neo, Sasakawa Peace Foundation representative Sakiko Hataya, Head of the ASIA RISK Research Centre in South Korea Oleg Kiryanov, and others, participated in a discussion on international cooperation in the Arctic.
Goodwill Ambassador, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Russia Anton Vasiliev moderated three very special sessions on international scientific co-operation, co-operation in general, and Russia-China relations.
Tomorrow, on the margins of the forum, the Regional Coordinators Committee of the Northern Forum will review the results of the year and plans for the next year - the year of the General Assembly.
