XII International Festival of Cinematic Debuts “Spirit of Fire” ended. Once again, under the leadership of festival president Emir Kusturica, thanks to general partner Gazprom Neft, general media partner Gazprom-Media, and communications partner Roscongress Foundation, professionals, experts, art connoisseurs and film lovers met in Yugra.
The main prize of the festival - "Golden Taiga" - for the best debut film was awarded to the picture "Bauyryna Salu" directed by Askhat Kuchinchirekov. The best Russian debut - the film "The Last Price" directed by Naour Garmelia. The short meter competition was won by director Viktoria Degteva with the film "Black". The work "Tegar" by director Anggi Friska won the competition program for children and teenagers "Your Cinema". The special prize of the Northern Forum "For preserving the heritage traditions of the indigenous peoples of the Arctic and the North" was awarded to Natalia Makovetskaya for the movie "How a Don Cossack became a reindeer herder".
