Yugra proclaimed the best Russian region for promotion of culture. This information was announced during the weekly operational meeting, which was held by the Governor of Khanty-Mansiyskiy AO - Yugra Natalia Komarova. The director of the Department of culture of the autonomous district Nadejda Kaznacheeva reported the region has won the first prize in the nationwide contest "Best practice of executive authorities activities and subjects of the Russian Federation in the sphere of culture".

Yujno-Sakhalinsk held The Northern Hokkaido-2014 exhibition fair in the local City Mall. 9 cities of Hokkaido such as Wakkanai, Rumoi, Mombetsu, Sibetsu, Nayoro, Furano, Fukagawa, Asibetsu and Asahikawa presented their products. The new memorial "To the Workers on the home front" has been opened in Khanty-Mansiysk on September 2, 2014. The meeting brought together representatives of government, noncommercial association, municipal enterprises, war veterans, youth and cadets.
