First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Julustan Borisov discussed issues of further joint work between the region and the Northern Forum international organization with Vladimir Vasilyev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum.
The working meeting was also attended by Gavril Kirillin, Minister for External Relations and Ethnic Affairs of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
Vladimir Vasilyev spoke about the work carried out by the Northern Forum to establish international cooperation, including with such countries as Mongolia and China.
He noted that the organization today continues to work actively, building ties between the northern regions for sustainable development. According to him, among the main issues raised by the forum are global climate change and tourism development.
The Executive Director of the Northern Forum said that today one of the priority tasks is project activities, implementation of effective projects to improve the quality of life of people living in the North.
