The Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development was formed at the Johannesburg World Summit on Sustainable Development by a group of regions committed to policies of sustainable development to be a voice for, and to represent regional governments at the global level, promoting sustainable development and partnerships at the regional level around the world. The Northern Forum is on the Board of Directors of the organization and has attended most major meetings of the Network.

 

Winter Cities 2004

The Northern Forum has been associated for a long time with the Winter Cities, and cooperated in the organization of the last Winter Cities event in February 2004 in Anchorage, Alaska.
