Funding

The Northern Forum is a non-profit organization, registered under U.S. law as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity. Its primary sources of funding are membership dues from the Member Regions and Business Partners. Some member regions also allocate special grants to the Northern Forum. Financial support for specific projects is also sought from funding institutions.


Donations to the Northern Forum are also welcome, and individuals or organizations can check the various levels of contributions on our donation web page. The Northern Forum Secretariat is set up with the ability to receive credit card payments. It makes it possible for potential donors in the U.S. and Canada to make electronic donations and get a receipt to use for tax-deduction purposes. In other regions, donors may still use a credit card by sending their information by fax (see fax form on the donation web page). Otherwise, donors can also send a check to the Secretariat of the Northern Forum, 716 W 4th Avenue, Suite 100, Anchorage, AK 99501.
