On December 9-10, 2021 Kamchatka krai hosted the Northern Forum’s Regional Coordinators Committee (RCC) meeting. Regional coordinators made a review of questions related to the Northern Youth Forum (NYF). They have approved the new edition of the Northern Youth Forum’s Regulations. The Regulations defines main goal, objectives and areas of activities of the Northern Youth Forum. It also defines the structure.

On December 9 and 10 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the final meeting of the Regional Coordinators Committee took place. The meeting was attended by representatives of almost all member-regions of the Northern Forum, as well as guests from other regions related to the study of issues and problems of the North and the Arctic.

On November 12, the first kick-off meeting of the Northern Forum Working Group on Creative Industries took place.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the member-regions of the Northern Forum from Khabarovsk Krai, Yakutia, Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Lapland (Finland), Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Chukotka Autonomous Okrug. There were also guests from other regions and countries: Hungary, Primorsky Krai, Surgut.

Exactly 30 years ago, on November 8, 1991, in Anchorage, Alaska, USA, a constituent assembly was held on the creation of the international organization "The Northern Forum". The founding members were 11 regions from 9 Northern countries: Yukon, Canada; Heilongjiang Province, China; Lapland, Finland; Hokkaido, Japan; Dornod, Mongolia; Trøndelag and Tromso, Norway; Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Kamchatka Krai, Magadan Oblast, Russia; Republic of Korea; and Alaska, USA.

<p">Today, October 14, the opening of the YEF 2021 took place online. The organizers greeted the participants, explained the progress of the Forum, and the students of the Berdigestyakh secondary school of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) congratulated on the opening and showed creative videos.
